National Cancer Awareness Day was be observed in AISAT Technical Campus in association with NSS Technical Cell led by NSS Programme Officer Majo Davis, Associate Programme Officer Syama I.J,Nisha Varghese along with NSS Volunteers on November 7 2016.
Poster Exhibition was organized and posters where exhibited on the courtyard of main block. Cancer is a leading cause of death worldwide. Cancer often creates fear which comes out of ignorance and misconception. More than 30% of cancer cases could be prevented by modifying lifestyle or avoiding key risk factors. About 1/3rd of cancer cases could be reduced if cases are treated and detected at an early stage. Being social engineers, the new generation shall be committed to build awareness about this disease. This attempt was made to encourage the students to yield a better knowledge about the symptoms of cancer and its precautions.
