The Department of Civil Engineering in association with ALG International Institute of Technology organized a three-day workshop on Advanced surveying with Total Station and GIS from January 27th to 29th, 2020. The program aimed to equip the participants with concepts of total station and GIS working mechanism followed by practical exercise which helps to gain practical understanding and essential skill sets required for present surveying industry. The workshop was inaugurated by vice Principal Prof..Paul Ansel V.
Prof. Liji Anna Mathew, Head, Department of Civil Engineering presided over the function. Felicitation was rendered by Mr.Afzal, Operating Head, ALG International Institute of Technology. Around 49 students from various engineering colleges participated in the training program. The training included Basics of Total Station, Total Station Traversing, stake out, Topographical survey, Area Calculation, Height Calculation, Data transfer, Mapping, Basics of remote sensing and GIS, Data imparting and georefernces etc. Ms. Daisy Manuval of sixth semester, AISAT secured the Best Performer award.
