In the recent incidents in and around Kochi, the pollution level indications in Kochi are at increase. Tons of plastic wastes are burnt, releasing toxic gases to the atmosphere. The residents staying in the vicinity are exposed to severe health issues. On a long run, Kochi should not become like Delhi. Pollution Control board has initiated awareness programs for Solid Waste Management and the rules and regulations stipulated by central government.

Baiju.M.A., Chief Environmental Engineer, Kerala State Pollution Control Board, Kochi emphasized the importance of 3R’s- Reduce, Reuse and Recycle to civil engineering students while inaugurating the activities of Albertian Institute of Science & Technology Civil Engineering Association (ACEA) on 20th February, 2020.
The Annual News Bulletin-‘Srishti’ of the Association was unveiled by the Chief Guest and Assoc. Prof. Liji Anna Mathew, Head of Department-Civil, AISAT. Srishti unfolds the array of events conducted by the Association in the previous academic year.

(S2-CE) were honored with trophy and certificate for securing highest CGPA in the previous semester. Mr. Akzam Abdul Kareem (S8-CE) was awarded a cash prize for winning the Srishti-Cover page design competition conducted by the ACEA. Ms. Daisy Manuval (S6-CE) was honored with a certificate of ‘Best Performer Award’ for her performance in workshop – Advanced Surveying with Total Station and GIS, held during the month of January, 2020 in our college. Ms. Krishnendhu.J.R, Vice President-ACEA (S6-CE) delivered the vote of thanks and the meeting was concluded by 4.30pm.
