World Radio Day

February 13, 2025, observed as World Radio Day . The day is observed every year on February 13 . World Radio Day has a number of objectives, namely: to raise awareness among the general public and the media about the value of public service audio ; to encourage decision makers to promote free, independent, pluralistic radio ; and to strengthen networking and international cooperation between broadcasters . World Radio Day 2025 is dedicated to the theme of “Radio and Climate Change” as broadcasters grapple with the need for increased coverage of wildfires and other environmental disasters .
