Vintage Radio Exhibition

UNESCO has designated February 13 as World Radio Day. The objectives of the day are to raise greater awareness among the public and the media about the importance of radio; to encourage decision makers to establish and provide access to information through radio; as well as to enhance networking and international cooperation among broadcasters.

   Department of Electronics and Communication Engineering of AISAT celebrated World Radio Day 2019 (Wednesday, 13 February) by organising a Vintage Radio Exhibition around the theme of “Dialogue, Tolerance and Peace”. Fr. Joseph Rajan Kizhavana, the Associate Manager of AISAT inaugurated the exhibition at 9:30am that took place in the college campus.

   More than 30 radios from 1930 were exhibited. As a part of Radio Day celebrations, quiz and debate competitions along with poster exhibition were conducted for the students.

   AISAT Principal Prof. Dr. Philip Karuan, Vice Principal Associate Prof. Paul Ansel V, Coordinator Assistant Prof. Reshma Mary Jose also attended the ceremony.
